Gold Level: The Premium Valuation

This is SPARDATA’s ’gold level’ valuation product and should be chosen when the highest level of accuracy is required. Features include:

  1. Site visit by two SPARDATA analysts;
  2. Face-to-face interview with the management team;
  3. Interviews with key customers;
  4. Investigate comparable public and/or private companies;
  5. Benchmark company against industry peers;
  6. Detailed economic report;
  7. Review up to five years of the company’s past performance;
  8. Detailed analysis of the company’s financial trends and metrics;
  9. Considers all three major valuation approaches (Income, Asset, and Market); findings from each, as well as a detailed explanation of the approach(es) selected;
  10. Final report is an impressive bound document, plus electronic copy;
  11. Meets the AICPA’s Statement on Standards for Valuation Services (SSVS) requirements for Conclusion of Value engagements.

Silver Level: The Summary Valuation

This is SPARDATA’s ‘silver level’ valuation product and should be chosen when a high level of accuracy is required. It differs from the Premium Valuation principally in that there is no site visit by a SPARDATA Analyst, nor key client interviews. Features include:

  1. No site visit by SPARDATA;
  2. Telephone interview with management team;
  3. No interviews with customers;
  4. Investigate comparable public and/or private companies;
  5. Benchmark company against industry peers;
  6. Summary economic report;
  7. Review up to five years of company’s past performance;
  8. Limited analysis of the company’s financial trends and metrics;
  9. Considers all three major valuation approaches (Income, Asset, and Market); findings from each, as well as a detailed explanation of the approach(es) selected;
  10. Meets the AICPA’s Statement on Standards for Valuation Services (SSVS) requirements for Conclusion of Value engagements.

Bronze Level: The Calculated Value Report

This is SPARDATA’s ‘bronze level’ valuation product and should be chosen when cost minimization is a major consideration. It differs from the Premium and Summary products principally in that SPARDATA considers just one valuation approach, not three, so its conclusions may be less reliable. Features include:

  1. Client participates with SPARDATA in selection of valuation approach;
  2. No site visit;
  3. Telephone interview with the management team;
  4. Summary economic report;
  5. Review of up to three (not five) years worth of the company’s financial information;
  6. Considers just one of the three valuation approaches (Income, Asset, and Market). No discussion of non-utilized approaches;
  7. Final report is in the form of a transmittal letter plus attached spreadsheets;
  8. Meets the AICPA’s Statement on Standards for Valuation Services (SSVS) requirements for Calculation of Value engagements.
